The sporting brand GoPlus is well-known for its sports and fitness gear, from treadmills to surfboards. It’s only natural that a brand that takes on almost every sport and fitness gear would also offer stand-up paddle boards. The GoPlus 11’ is the brand’s more entry-level model. It’s nothing special but can be an excellent board for newbies to paddle boarding.

We’re going to take a long honest look at this board in my GoPlus 11’ isup review. Let’s dive in!

A Drop In The Ocean – Overview

Goplus 11′ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board

For those who just want the overview without getting into the thick of the details, here’s the rundown of the GoPlus 11’ iSUP. This board measures 11’ x 30” x 6” (L x W x T) and weighs about 26 lbs with a weight capacity of 440 lbs. Despite what might seem like an impressive weight capacity, I’m not convinced this is 100% accurate. It struggles with larger paddlers, so it’s recommended for smaller ones.

The performance isn’t bad for the GoPlus 11’ iSUP as it can achieve decent speeds, tracks well, and is relatively maneuverable. The board, however, isn’t the most stable paddle board on the market by a long shot.

What Kind Of Paddler Is The Goplus 11′ Paddle Board For?

When determining what kind of paddler might best suit this board, I’d say it’s paddlers that weigh in the realm of 265 lbs but ideally around 220 lbs or less. It’s a board designed for flat calm waters and wouldn’t fair too well in more choppy conditions.

The reason why I’m placing such an emphasis on the weight capacity of this board is due to its dimensions. It’s a 30 inches wide board, and for larger or even taller paddlers, this isn’t going to work well for stability. The board simply doesn’t perform at its best when dealing with these kinds of factors. It’s most certainly not a board for experienced paddlers or those looking for quality. It’s a beginner’s board at best and even better for complete newbies to paddling.

Specs Deep Dive

Let’s take a deeper look at the Goplus 11′ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board:

The GoPlus 11’ is an all-around board. The board itself is limited to flatwater conditions, and that’s mainly because this board isn’t of high quality.

There are no color options when it comes to this board. It’s a standard white paddle board with blue elements and palm trees printed on the nose.

This board is made using a drop-stitch construction, an EVA deck pad, and PVC construction.

The construction of the board isn’t overly impressive

This board is fairly long. As a result, it’s able to build up more speed. It helps with stability as well, which is an added bonus.

In terms of width, the GoPlus 11’ is 30 inches wide at the widest point in the iSUP. For an all-around paddle board that’s surprisingly narrow as it’s usually 32 inches or wider. Beginners might find this slightly more challenging as it’s not what I’d usually recommend for beginners looking for a stable board.

Board Weight

The board weighs in at 26 lbs which makes it a fairly lightweight board.

Weight Capacity

The weight capacity of the GoPlus 11’ is 440 lbs. However, I wouldn’t recommend breaking into the 350+ range as the board shows signs of a struggle.

Pros & Cons

Everything has pros and cons. The Goplus 11′ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board is no exception! Here are some of the pros and cons of this board:

  • Complete package, great for first-time paddle boarders
  • Responsive
  • Relatively fast
  • UV and tear-resistant

  • Low maximum weight capacity even though advertised as higher
  • Somewhat narrower than standard all-around paddle boards
  • The quality of the board could be better. Unfortunately, it’s a cheap board overall, and that can sometimes be a downside for certain paddlers.

No matter what paddle board you’re buying, you’ve likely got some questions. Here are some of the frequently asked questions about the Goplus 11′ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board.

What Else Is Included In The Package?

When you order a Goplus 11′ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board, you’re not just getting a paddle board; you’re getting a whole host of additional items. These items are not of the highest quality and include the following;

The GoPlus 11’ does come with a paddle to get you started. Unfortunately, the quality of this paddle is lackluster at best. It’s made of aluminum which means it’s non-floating. While adjustable, it does struggle to extend sometimes. I recommend attaching something to the paddle that will make it float in case it falls out of your hands.

The generic backpack that comes with the GoPlus 11’ can hold the deflated paddle board and all additional items. The bag is low quality, so handle it with care to make it last as long as possible.

The pump included with the GoPlus 11’ is a generic pump that’s not high-quality at all. It has a pressure gauge on top. However, it doesn’t register until a certain PSI is achieved. The optimal air pressure is generally 15 PSI.

Repair Kit

This is common among paddle boards to come with emergency repair kits. This emergency repair kit, like the others, comes with PVC patches, adhesive, as well as a valve wrench, all within a plastic orange cylinder container.

What Is The Goplus 11′ iSUP Like Performance-Wise?

Performance-wise, the GoPlus 11’ is a mixed bag. Due to the board’s size being rather long and narrow, it’s able to achieve decent speeds. However, due to the small fin – which is also the only fin – it can come across as though something is quite right when paddling. Additionally, the maneuverability of the board isn’t bad, thanks to that narrow shape I referred to earlier.

The board’s stability can be compromised pretty easily depending on the size of the paddler and the water conditions. Smaller paddlers will find that these boards are definitely rigid enough, while larger paddlers might find the complete opposite to be true.

So, Is The Goplus 11′ For You?

Goplus 11′

The GoPlus 11’ is what it is. It’s a budget board, low-quality, generic at best, and not suited for paddlers of a certain size or water conditions that are anything but flat and calm. So if you’re a larger paddler, immediately, I’d say ignore this board. If you’re an experienced paddler, you are not going to find this board challenging enough or good enough to perform the kinds of things you’d like in an iSUP.

Beginners will enjoy this board. It’s inexpensive, which decimates a barrier to entry many would-be paddlers face. It’s a great way to get started on the water. This board will be a decent choice for those who want to get comfortable paddling. Otherwise, it has little to offer those who know what they’re doing or are taller/larger than the average paddler.

Similar Options To Consider

If you can afford to make a slightly more expensive purchase, go with the iRocker Nautical. This is also an entry-level board in theory. However, it’s a quality product that is definitely worth the money. iRocker is a phenomenal brand that makes brilliant products, and the Nautical is no exception.

The Nautical is an iSUP that is great for beginners to paddle board. It’s well-priced, brilliantly constructed, and stylish to boot. Paddlers will enjoy the easy-to-control board that will help them improve without worrying about a board that can’t handle the water or the weight occupying the board.

Wrap Up

While GoPlus is a great brand, this board isn’t the finest iSUP in the world. In fairness, they never claimed it was. This isn’t a company focused on paddle boards, it’s just another product they offer, and maybe that’s what makes this somewhat disappointing. By no means is the board the worst in the world, but it doesn’t even scratch the surface when thinking of amazing inflatable paddle boards out there.

You can find the GoPlus 11’ on Amazon, other major and minor online retailers, the GoPlus website, and in physical stores around the country.
